An analytical analysis is conducted to examine unsteady MHD free convective heat and mass transfer flow past an infinite vertical permeable plate taking into account mass absorption and variable suction in the presence of heat source. The coupled nonlinear partial differential equations are solved by perturbation technique for the velocity, temperature and concentration fields. The effects of various physical parameters on the velocity, temperature and concentration distribution are obtained through graphs. Skin friction, rate of heat and mass transfer coefficients are derived and shown in tabular form. It is observed that the velocity decreases as heat and mass absorption parameters are increased and also suction reduces the growth of the fluid velocity, temperature and concentration.
