Abstract

The improvements in monetary transaction among individuals and nations at large has not only raised questions on security, but also the reinforcement on the reliability of the best security parameter such as cryptosystems to ensure the intended security. One of these improvements, electronic transaction, which has recently cut across different financial sectors give reasons for a day-to-day checkand balances on how best to secure maximallybusiness transactions. In this paper, an improved scheme on Elliptic Curve Cryptosystem (ECC) based security and authentication with key agreement protocol was used to ensure efficienttransaction. In the analysis, the scheme is secured against attacks and any unauthorized transactions. The effectiveness of the proposed scheme is also proven using parallelized Pollard’s rho algorithm. The protocol is applicable to allfinancial sectors.
