Abstract

The ground state energy, wave function and charge-Charge correlation function of the one-band Hubbard Hamiltonian for   lattices   at low fillings   are calculated using stationary perturbation theory. Our study reveals that there is a gradual increase in the ground state energy as the coulomb repulsion  increases. We check the validity of the perturbation expansion by making comparison with the correlated variational approach.
