Abstract 

In this paper, Linear Multistep Method (LMM) for the direct solution of fourth order initial value problems in ordinary differential equation is derived. The study provides the use of Taylor series for both derivation and implementation of the scheme. An order nine, symmetric and zero-stable method is obtained. Taylor’s series algorithm of the same order was developed to implement our method. This implementation strategy is found to be efficient and accurate as the result has shown in the numerical experiments.
